Napa Reccomendations

I used to live in Napa Valley, when I was working for a Michelin rated restaurant as well as a Master Sommelier. Several people have asked me for recommendations, so I thought I'd share a couple here. 

ST. HELENA 

Schramsberg Wine Tour - hands down favorite wine tour. 

  • Schramsberg Vineyards is a renowned winery crafting exceptional sparkling wines with meticulous attention to detail and a rich history dating back to 1862.

Mad Fritz - great local beer and yes I'm saying this despite the region being known for wine.

  • Mad Fritz is an artisanal brewery based in California that specializes in producing small-batch, handcrafted beers using locally sourced ingredients, resulting in unique and distinctive flavors that captivate the senses.

Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch - fun happy hour and good food. 

  • Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is a renowned farm-to-table restaurant and culinary destination offering seasonal, sustainable cuisine.

Gott’s Roadside Burger -this is a must stop, good burger and shakes and go to original location in St. Helena. 

  • Gott's Roadside Burger is a beloved eatery known for its delicious gourmet burgers, made with high-quality ingredients and served in a casual, retro-inspired setting.

The Model Bakery - get the English muffins and go to the location in St. Helena.  

  • The Model Bakery is a renowned bakery that delights customers with its freshly baked artisan bread, delectable pastries, and mouthwatering desserts in a charming and inviting atmosphere.

Heitz Cellar - outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, elevated tasting experience, but $$$$ 

  • Heitz Cellar is a historic winery in Napa Valley known for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and commitment to producing wines of the highest quality.

Mending Wall - beautiful winery and incredible wine

  • Mending Wall offers an exquisite selection of wines that harmoniously blend the region's rich viticultural heritage with a modern approach, creating an unforgettable tasting experience.

NAPA:

Oxbow Market - great local food court. 

  • Oxbow Market is a vibrant culinary destination offering a diverse selection of gourmet food, local produce, artisanal products, and dining options, all under one roof, creating a bustling and immersive food experience.

Torc - incredible happy hour and really great dinner experience.

  • Torc is an acclaimed restaurant that offers an elevated dining experience with its innovative and seasonally-driven menu, showcasing the best of California's ingredients and flavors.

YOUNTVILLE: 

Ad Hoc - delicious food, get the fried chicken if you can. 

  • Ad Hoc is a renowned restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its ever-changing, family-style menu focused on locally sourced ingredients.

Bistro Jeanty - get the tomato soup.

  • Bistro Jeanty is a charming French bistro known for its authentic cuisine and warm, cozy ambiance that transports diners to the heart of France.

SONOMA:

Sunflower Cafe - go for breakfast or lunch! Keep in mind they don’t take reservations. Also, their patio in the back is super cute. 

  • Sunflower Cafe is a delightful restaurant that offers a diverse menu of fresh, flavorful dishes in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.
(Keep in mind most, if not all places in Napa require a reservation and this is just scratching the surface on what Napa has to offer.)
