I grew up taking banana bread and cookies in a shoe box to high school as a way to make friends. After college, I went to culinary school and then worked in some incredible restaurants in Chicago, Boulder, and Napa. I hate matching socks and small talk but will sit with anyone if they offer me Dandelion Chocolate. Despite working in fine dining, I love creating recipes that are approachable and delicious with a hint of nostalgia and talking about mental health. I grew up with Midwestern roots including chatting too much when I'm nervous and religiously taking food to neighbors. When I'm not creating in the kitchen you'll find me hiking with our dog. I currently live in Orange County, CA. And yes, my name is Sarah Lee and I bake. It's ironic.
