3 Ways To Elevate Any Salad

Pickle Vegetables

Marinate vegetables in apple cider vinegar, honey & salt. This is an easy pickle and will add a burst of flavor to salads. Marinate vegetables like cucumbers, carrots, & radishes for a couple hours, drain & toss into your salad. It's a simple way to add more flavor.

Fats Absorb Flavor

Fats absorb flavor! In the photo above clementines are mixed together with olive oil, lime juice and cilantro. The olive oil, or fat, will absorb the flavor of the citrus and herbs the longer it sits. It creates a simple citrus herb olive oil with time. When making a dressing, don't be afraid to add ingredients like citrus slices and let them marinate for a couple hours before tossing the salad together. Most dressings are often better made ahead and given time for the oil to absorb flavor.

(With the above, we recommend adding baby spinach, goat cheese, and almonds.)

Herbs

Add torn fresh herbs to salads to create a surprise herbaceous bite. It's intense fresh flavor and elevates any salad. Anytime that balsamic dressing makes an appearance, add torn fresh basil leaves.
