Spiced Oat Milk

I love spiced oat milk in my coffee during the fall, so I took my favorite warming spices I already had in my pantry and infused my favorite oat milk to create a delicious spiced oat milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart oat milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1.5 inch fresh ginger, peeled
  • 5 whole all spice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom, ground
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, slowly bring everything but the maple syrup to a simmer for 1 minute. Do not let it boil.
  • Turn off heat and stir in the maple syrup.
  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature and infuse for one hour.
  • Strain the mixture and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes:

I love this recipe because it uses up spices in the pantry and, fun fact, spices expire. You can also use cardamon pods rather than ground cardamon.
