Spiced Oat Milk
I love spiced oat milk in my coffee during the fall, so I took my favorite warming spices I already had in my pantry and infused my favorite oat milk to create a delicious spiced oat milk.
Ingredients
- 1 quart oat milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 whole star anise
- 6 whole cloves
- 1.5 inch fresh ginger, peeled
- 5 whole all spice
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom, ground
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, slowly bring everything but the maple syrup to a simmer for 1 minute. Do not let it boil.
- Turn off heat and stir in the maple syrup.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature and infuse for one hour.
- Strain the mixture and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
I love this recipe because it uses up spices in the pantry and, fun fact, spices expire. You can also use cardamon pods rather than ground cardamon.
